Jerry Grimes was a well-known eastern North Carolina motorcycle enthusiast, avid rider, and motorcycle salesman. After he became acutely ill in late 2013, with efforts to offset expenses related to his illness, Jerry’s Kids (as they have affectionately deemed themselves), Tracy and Troy, decided to host a motorcycle benefit charity event. In late May, 2014, the outpouring of love and support for Jerry and his family, at such a trying time, was astonishing.

After Jerry’s passing in the fall of 2014, Jerry’s Kids decided to honor and remember their father each year with a motorcycle memorial ride. The inaugural event, The June JAMR (Jerry’s Annual Memorial Ride) came to life and launched to the road Saturday, June 13, 2015. While celebrating his life and memory, funds raised were divided and donated to The Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research, Tim Tucker, a local sarcoidosis survivor and friend of the Grimes family, and Faith Church of Goldsboro, NC, Jerry’s home church.

The inaugural event was successful, but Tracy and Troy aim forward with larger goals. Late 2015 saw the commencement of web development for, the groundwork for establishment of a non-profit 501C-3 status, the establishment of The June JAMR board of directors, the creation of The June JAMR logo, and big plans for the second annual The June JAMR 2016. The June JAMR will move forward in the future with partnerships with The Foundations for Sarcoidosis Research and various other sponsors. Please take the time to visit and “our sponsors” page and their websites. We thank each for their unending love and support while helping us meet our goals and mission.
