Tracy Grimes Watson, June JAMR Co-founder and Board of Directors Executive Director

Tracy, daughter of the late Jerry Grimes, is a 1990 graduate of Southern Wayne High School, Dudley NC. In 2011, Tracy obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Communications through University of Phoenix. Adding a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications, also through University of Phoenix in 2013, Tracy is working to move her career forward. Tracy works currently as a customer service representative with Butterball, LLC. of Mount Olive, NC, where she has been employed for nine years. From 2011–2014 Tracy was a member of The Wayne-Duplin Business and Professional Women’s Association of North Carolina, and held office of Corresponding Secretary (2012-2014) during her tenure. She is an avid motorcyclist, coming into the saddle, not long before her father Jerry left it. Tracy inherited Jerry’s most prized possession, a 1999 Honda Valkyrie and rides it proudly in his honor and it is now the official JAMR bike, donning proudly a North Carolina JAMR plate! After her father’s death, Tracy believed the best way to honor and memorialize him would be to create a benefit ride, and with her brother Troy’s assistance, The June JAMR came to life in the early months of 2015. After a successful inaugural year with The June JAMR, Tracy is excited about the opportunities for future growth while helping others affected by sarcoidosis. Near the time of Jerry’s passing, Tracy met Robbie Watson, who had lost his mother, Mary Catherine Watson, less than a year earlier as a result of pulmonary sarcoidosis. He has become her right hand man, assisting with The June JAMR and other life events. Tracy is also a billiards enthusiast and a member of the American Poolplayer's Association. Tracy is the mother of two and has recently wed Robbie, making him not only her right hand man, but her husband and partner for life. Robbie is also a member of The June JAMR Board of Directors, in 2017. Tracy is a member of Goldsboro NC Chapter 86 Southern Cruisers Riding Club and a member of Gypsy Soulz. Tracy resides in Pikeville, NC. You may connect with Tracy on Linkedin.

Troy Grimes, JAMR Co-Founder  and Secretary/Treasurer

Troy, son of the late Jerry Grimes, is a Goldsboro, NC native and currently resides in Raleigh, NC.  A graduate of East Carolina University, Troy spent a number of years in jewelry retailing and in 2015 opted to reinvent and diversify his professional life. A licensed real estate broker, Troy now sells residential real estate with Fonville Morisey in the greater Triangle market of NC. Like father, like son, Troy shares a passion for motorcycles and now lives the dream job of selling the lifestyle! Troy reports that his job with Ray Price Harley-Davidson & Ray Price Triumph of Raleigh is more FUN than work! He also says that although he took the motorcycle selling gig because of his passion for motorcycles, he now understands why his Dad, Jerry, enjoyed the career for over 16 years . . . it’s the people – the customers (both experienced and first time motorcycle riders) – and his co-workers who are dedicated to helping others “live the dream.” While Troy appreciates the knowledge and wisdom of experienced buyers who know what they want when selecting their next home or motorcycle, he especially enjoys working with 1st time buyers realizing the American dream of owning a home, or the new rider excitement that comes with owning that first motorcycle.  “Helping others buy homes and Harley’s . . . I’m good with that as my tagline,” Troy now quips. Troy proudly rides a 100th Anniversary Edition Harley-Davidson VRod. Along with his sister, Tracy, Troy co-founded The June JAMR, to honor their late father, Jerry. Judy Blackman Grimes, Board of Directors Member

Jerry’s widow, Judy, is a native of Johnston County, NC, and has lived in the Goldsboro NC area since 1978.  While attending Dunn High School, Judy met Jerry and the two later eloped to SC and wed in 1965. She and Jerry shared two children, Troy and Tracy, the co-founders of The June JAMR, and two grandsons.  During her professional career, Judy worked for a number of years with Fieldcrest Cannon Mills.  Shortly after Fieldcrest’s closing of their Johnston County plant, Judy joined the NC Department of Health and Human Services, where she later retired with Cherry Hospital, in 2008.  Judy is an active member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro where she and Jerry attended together for a number of years.  Judy’s hobbies include baking, gardening, and yard selling.  While she herself does not ride a motorcycle, Judy is occasionally seen on her Honda 4-wheeler and one will often find her working in the yards on Jerry’s tractor, cutting grass on her Toro mower, or hauling dirt, leaves, or debris behind her Kawasaki Mule ATV.
